Big Purple Dot is a leader in the mortgage and real estate industries with their CRM that expands into a full technology suite. Part of the difficulty and frustration with purchasing a home has to do with the extensive loan process that typically uses dated technology that isn't user-friendly and, at times, gets in the way more than it helps. Beyond the consumer-facing 1003 loan application I designed, the borrower is provided with a very usable borrower portal where they are able to upload their loan documents, such as pay stubs and W2s, and check tasks off that their loan officer has given them. They can also easily communicate with their loan officer through on-page chat or send an email or place a call to their loan officer, or any others that are a part of their loan, from the on-page contact information for everyone who is a part of their loan.

Borrowers are provided with an email that that takes them to a landing page like this for every milestone they reach. There is an animation, customized with the borrower's name and their loan officer's name, contact information, and company logo, in each animation. The animation and wording on the email and page gives the borrower a good idea of what to expect next and builds trust along the way.
