No funnel, no scheduling link maze.

01

You write, I read it myself

Every message comes to me. No assistant, no screening, no automated reply pretending to be one.

02

A straight answer

If the role fits, I'll say so and suggest a time. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too rather than leave you waiting.

03

A conversation about the work

Bring the actual problem you're hiring against. I'd rather spend the first call on that than on my résumé, which you already have.

Before you ask

The five questions I get most.

Are you open to remote?

Yes. I'm based in Orange County, work comfortably across US time zones, and I'm equally happy on-site in OC or San Diego.

Full-time or contract?

Full-time leadership roles are the priority. I also take fractional and contract engagements through my own practice, Kirkman & Company — say which you mean and I'll answer accordingly.

Do you still design, or only manage?

Both, deliberately. I run the team and I'm still in the file and the front-end code. If you need a leader who has stopped making things, I'm the wrong hire.

Can you own product as well as design?

I've done it. As a VP I owned product management alongside product design, and on several products I was the designer and the product manager for the same work.

What should I send you?

The role, the team it sits in, and the problem you're hiring against. That's enough for me to tell you honestly whether I'm a fit.
